Two of a Kind Dyke Bar was the inspiration of Lilly Mcmasters, another Aussie in SL. Ayla, my sweet friend since the beginning of my Second Life adventures had introduced us, Lilly was looking for someone to help with the creation of a dream and I a place to create... secretly I'm a prim junkie.
Let me tell you about Lilly... a lovely lady ...very patient …mmm ...very frustrating to say the least... well she was at times. Requests for building of things for the bar and event themes came almost continuously for a while... "omg have you broken it again Lil" ...seemed to be a common phrase, eventually it all came together... love you Lilly... really.
Things started slowly with the "Two of a Kind Bar" but it soon began to speed up at a blinding pace. There were almost constant events with many of SL's best DJ's providing the entertainment and the bar soon climbed to one of SL's favourites.

At times there were so many at the events we expected the sim to collapse from the sheer numbers... we collectively held our breaths... but fortunately it never happened...
The focus of the bar changed over time and for a while it even paid the rent!... but like a lot of great places in SL, it also came to an end when the numbers slowed and it become too much of a financial burden to continue.
Two of a Kind did have an amazing team, Chelle - How lucky Lilly was when you breezed into the pub, Maxx your enthusiasm keept us all rolling, all of the friends who helped along the way Bridgie, Hoodoo(the very first hostess) Lytra(tech boi) and all the staff at Two of a Kind.

I look back fondly at the times I spent with Lilly creating 2OAK... we did have fun... we did achieve what we set out to do... and a long list of friends enjoyed our creation.
